I am using Sunbird 0.9 version and latest GCalDaemon. I have setup file based sync. Everything is working fine except that the repeat events created in Sunbird doesn't get synchronized with google. If the repeat event is created in google, it is replicated to Sunbird but not the other way. I would like to know if there is a workaround to solve this issue. Please let me know if this is a known limitation.
in my opinon it's quite frankly a bug. I've had the same problem using both Lightning and Korganizer. What seems to happen is this:
Upon trying to insert the recurring event into GoogleCalendar's ical version the event gets refused, causing the following warning to appear:
WARN | unable to insert event XXX
Entry can not contain gd:when and gd:recurrence elements
When looking for a solution I found forum entries describing the same problem dating back to 2007, so it should be a known issue.
