#1 Unable to open most recent file automatically

When GBonds attempts to automatically open the most
recently used file on program launch, the following
error message is displayed (including the markup tags):

<span weight="bold" size="larger">Could not open file "

If I tell it to open a specific file every time, I get
no error.

The error message could also use some markup help and
be given a nice title.
