I've been able to connect yesterday from my home linux box. Might be something on your network path from where you are to the server... Let me know if you're still having problems I could set you up with a telnet account to my linux machine so you can connect to the gb server.

I can't connect either, figured the server just went down and Colin would reboot it sometime. :) Repod, I'd be interested in a telnet account if I still can't connect later. If you decide to set one up let me know at captainwinky42@hotmail.com
Thanks,

Oh well, a restart with a smaller galaxy would be all right. Having 100 stars gave us plenty of room for getting a feel for the game and experimenting, but it also took a long time for the bloodshed to start, and by that point the fungoids had pretty much won (~310 planets). On the bright side, I learned a lot from my early mistakes...and I totally blew the crap out of a fungoid waste canister last update :)
When the server is up again, I'll be there.

Server has been recompiled and ready to go
