You have introduced M^2 - very useful.
I'just tried the new release, found a bug:
The dielectric slab doesn't work properly.
However, I used 2 flat interfaces, with the second
locked relatively to the first interface position and it substitutes the slab.
Also, the slab covers the beam and it is not visible.

Another thing I would like to have: do not limit the
width and the length of the system. As an example, I've just finished working on a custom laser with
4 meter long cavity and up to 20 mm beam diameter.

Suggestion for future: introduce the possibility to
work with astigmatic beams. It would just add the second beam with it's properties and the optical elements would have different properties in X and Y planes, such as cylindrical lens.

I also would prefer curves instead of filled regions for the beam. It will be especially useful for the astigmatic beams.
