I think the ability to set Date display preferences
would be
useful. This would be especially useful for people who
archive
important e-mail messages that might be from a previous
year.
Currently, the inbox date display only shows MM/DD.
You can currently hover a mouse over a date for a tooltip
with the full date.
But yes, the date could be displayed in a more human
friendly manner. Such as:
time - for messages that arrived today
yesterday - for messages that arrived yesterday
month day - for messages that arrvied this year
month day year - for messages that arrived before this year
