Ref [ 1582384 ] Resources types and calculation model
If the product is able to manage the different types of resources as I told about in the references subjet?
1- Used by duration unit
2- Amount used by the full task resource (some products offers a
3- Consumable and producible resources : task resources add or substract a defined amount on a stock (an account). Two subtype : Depending of duration or fixed value
So if in addition to the amount of resource of any type a unit is associated to each resources (standard : hours of work a resource per day duration or for full task etc. but many others defined users resources depending of the project : tons of concrete produces per day for example etc..),
Then if a cost per unit expressed in a currency all (most of) cost calculations are allowed.
The currency change table depending of time converted to a reference currency allows cost management of international projects... If this tables can be changed you can make calculations with constant reference currency or floating etc...
The products allows just % per unit of full occupation of persons.
So it is the type1 of resource without unit.
1- The 3 Types of resources :
- Per duration unit the total amount is duration*use
- Total amount : the time unit use is amount/duration
- producible and consumable : the amount (fixed a proportional to the duration) is added or substract of an account
2- A unit table for resources defining a cost and the currency
3- Currency tables (imported) : depending of user choice the resource amount is multiplied by the currency value. Why imported : because these values are generally external yet defined and if not the common tools as excel are perfect to define and upgrade the datas.
4- 3 tables results :
a- the values into the resource unit
b- converted into the currency of the unit
c- results converted to a choosen ref currency.
5- All tables can be fixed in time value or variable with time (date)
If the tables are imported (mysql for example) the calculations are easy to develop.
The tables must be defined begin-end periods (unit, rate, begindate, enddate)
To be simple for outputs : first export, later integrate a bargraph, curves etc... common soft using result tables display tool.
