[Ganglia-developers] ganglia and cpu info problem

Hi all,
I am new to ganglia, I have installed gmond on two linux machine and
getting ganglia default xml (xml with default configuration). I have
transformed it into glue schema also. My problems are:

1) How could I get the CPU model info like pentium 4, AMD, pentium 3
etc. using ganglia????
2) What are the changes I have to implement in the code and in the
configuration file to get CPU info (Is it Pentium 4 or pentium 3 or
AMD???)???
3) How should I go with the gmond code to understand it completely
(How should I start to understand the gmond code?)????
