[Gandalf-library-develop] gandalf-config script

Hi,

I was thinking that Gandalf should have a gandalf-config script and a
gandalf.pc file for pkg-config (http://www.freedesktop.org/software/pkgconfig/).

This is important when a linux end-user compiles a program which requires
Gandalf. The linker "-l" flags of that program depends on whether
Gandalf has found libjpeg, libpng, etc.. The program could check for
these other libs, but since gandalf already does it, it would be a
waste of time.

gandalf-config and gandalf.pc are easy to write. If you agree, I will
write them based on Gandalf 1.2 (or CVS if you update in time), and
send them to this list.
