#1 GPE.zip demo will not start

The GPE.zip released in the Files area on 2011-02-28 will not start on Windows Vista. After configuring the Ogre renderer it gives an error:

OGRE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentityException): Cannot locate material
called 'PSSM/shadow_caster' in
SceneManager::setShadowTextureCasterMaterial at
..\src\OgreSceneManager.cpp (line 5551)
[OK]

Run As Administrator, and trying both the DirectX and OpenGL renderers, does not change the behavior.
