Automatic Save Backup Application

About The Project

*The aim of this project was to build an automated game save backup system, which would backup your save files everytime a game process is ended, provided that this game is included on AutoSaver.

Getting Started

Download the installer from the release section of this project:

Prerequisites

Both Prerequisites will be downloaded when installing AutoSaver.
* .NET Framework 4.8
* Microsoft SQL Server 2016 LocalDB

Usage

1. Install & Run
   
   
2. Create a folder where you would like to AutoSaver to backup your saves, then select this folder
   
   
   
   
3. If you want to use igdb api, for searching games, Register an application, then Manage that application to get your clientid and secret, enter your clientid and secret on the setting window, then click on the ticket button to get your access token
   
   
   
   
4. Add a Game by clicking on the folder icon with a + sign, fill the form and click submit
   
   
   
   
5. Select a Game then click on the edit button to update it
   
   
   
   
6. Select a Game then click on the delete button to delete it
   
   
   
   
7. Select a Game then click on the fourth icon to manually backup its save file
   
   
   
   
8. Type on the search bar, then press enter to search for a game.
   
   
9. When you click on a game, on the left pane its saves will appear.
   
   
10. Click on the swap button on any save, to swap it with the current save file of the selected game.
    
    
11. Click on the X button on any save, to delete this save.
    
    
12. Minimizing the AutoSaver makes it go to the system tray.
    
    
13. Each time a save is backup, a notification will appear, both for manual and automatic backup.
    
14. A description is given when you hover on most buttons, labels and textboxes.
