Or rather, hello Marc and maybe Nathanael? ( I suspect this is currently a very small world! ) Just thought I would announce that I have now joined the mailinglist which I had completely forgotten about. This morning I submitted a patch to g2ghpro.cpp revision 31 (SVN 40), which contains a few tweaks I added to Marc's 'working version' patch, so it includes all those contributions too. I gave more details in a new post on the forum, but a summary is 1) a minimum velocity cut-off (currently notes must be greater than 0), 2) Added output messages to note off events 3) fix the wave clean-up section (you were sending the velocity value instead of the open note value!!!) 4) make use of real velocity instead of the hard fixed value of 110 for all notes (this might make the minimum velocity redundant but I've not not tested RB3 behaviour without the minimum velocity). I've seen the latest commits to SVN were to changes to a new folder called 'basic-midi-io-example', this seems to be a modularised stripped down version of g2ghpro from what I can tell, perhaps you shed some light on this. Thanks Hope the patch is useful. I'm only a hobbyist coder and bass player so I'm not all that good at either, so my contributions are somewhat simple. Has anyone looked at Nexus7's midi2rbp code now that the SVN actually contains some code. I had a little look and he has acknowledged that it's based on Nathaneal's work and makes use of the RtMidi.h/.cpp files. It does not have a config / make file so I'm not sure how to compile / link it and what dependencies are required (other than wxWidgets). At the moment I'm happy playing around with g2ghpro code, which I now vaguely understand, and I don't need a fancy graphical interface either. Regards, Stefan |
