Err- when I sent the reply, it only went to Kent. Kent, I think that your best bet for doing this conversion is to write your program in php within the gallery codebase. album.dat and photos.dat are serialized versions of gallery's objects and arrays - the data was stored by writing a compact version of print_r to diak. The cleanest way to do the conversion would be to write php code that can query your database and operate gallery's objects. Otherwise you will be reinventing the wheel when you generate the album.dat and photos.dat files. From what software are you importing this data, if you don't mind me asking? Good luck!
