Overview

Galaxy Bots is a turn-based strategy game for Anrdoid set in space.
As of the first release the game is fully playable, although I still have many things to add.

The game engine includes:
- The ability to move units, attack with cannons are fire missiles
- The ability to command worker ships to mine asteroids and build base structures
- The ability for base structures to produce units
- Two types of units - units with a shield and armour system, and units with a squad system
- The ability to load and save games
- The ability for worker ships to repair damaged units
- The ability for fighter units to hide on asteroids
- The ability for stars to burn nearby units
- A system for resource gathering which includes: mining asteroids, upgrading mines and calculating resource gathered based on distance of mine to nearest base command

The AI engine includes:
- The ability to build bases from scratch
- The ability to send worker ships to mine and build
- The ability to order units to guard base structures and attack enemy units

The UI includes:
- The main playing window for controlling units
- A side panel for displaying resources, unit stats and a mini-map
- A screen for showing player score

The game also includes:
- A tutorial engine and two tutorials maps to introduce moving, attacking and repairing
- Three developments maps to test: general gameplay, battles between units, and building of base structures
- Three free-play maps

Intended upgrades:
- Other base structures for upgrading units, advancing resource production
- Other units for transporting fighter units, and special units
- Upgrade AI to make use of all of the game engine to its advantage
- Increase intelligence of AI in coordinating attacks and building mutliple bases
- Add player data to save player scores
- Add different types of AI based on different strategies
- Add a campaign mode with a story
