I dunno if I *need* dev access, but I'd certainly *like* it :) I've got
a command line app planned for growl (growl(1)), so you can fire
notifications from shellscripts and/or use it to tell you when long
makes have finished compiling.
I might even steal toby's idea from those irssi itunes (and write
linux/bsd versions as well). That way you can get a notification that
your `make world` on your freebsd machine is done, right on your mac!
How cool would that be?
Speaking of reaching beyond Darwin, I might try to have growl(1) comply
with that spec that chip and... tberman I think are writing (I've cc'd
galago-devl this email for that reason). Then we'd probably need a name
change (notify(1)? guify(1)? notification(1)?).
So yeah, I guess I do need dev access ;)
