      If you're able to view your cam when you've got the driver module installed, with such programs as Gnome Meeting and XawTV, then when the broadcast code is written, it will work.

      Gaim-vv does not provide the drivers for the cam. It is (well, will be, as it's not done yet) merely be a front end to transcode, if you like, to a specific IM protocol.

        No, beacuse gaim 1.2.0 doesn't broadcast yet. When it does, anything that'll work with programs such as Gnome Meeting, Gimp, etc. should be fine (basically, I expect if you have a kernel module, you'll be right, as I think the intention is to take the V4L device and pump it through gstreamer)

      ok well I wish the #creative lot were awake but I have no idea where to start theres some open source drivers but I have no idea if they will work got any ideas for help on cams or any irc channels that are alive?
