I noticed some messages on your forum stating that you aren't too clear on what needs to be done to create a complete (and professional quality) suite of EDA tools.
You should check out the kEDA homepage here at sourceforge. It looks like the project died, but the list of goals is very comprehensive. I would recommend adopting this as a starting point. It's ambitious, but it sets a solid framework for development. I don't think it would be trashing anything you've done either.
I agree with previous posters that the pcb layout tool is definatly the key item that is missing from the free (and GPL) software available out there.
