Requirements

A Java runtime 1.7.x is needed for running giServer.

The giServer can be used on any operation system that is capable of running JRE 1.7.x.

However, the is currently only a setup for Windows. On windows the giServer can be installed as a service and includes a bundled Java Runtime Environment for x64 or x86 Windows systems.

For all other operation systems there is a platform independent version available in the files section. This package includes some scripts for starting the giServer and the giServer-Managament GUI.
