Even after reinstalling it serverral times my G3 logs this lines in the g3torrent.exe.log.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "g3torrent.py", line 447, in OnInvoke
File "g3torrent.py", line 682, in TorrentDirScan
File "g3torrent.py", line 1155, in AddFromFile
UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xe4 in position 29: ordinal not in range(128)
What happens is, that neither on start nor while scanning any torrent files are added from my spcified folder. (there is no obvious error present - folder exists and is full of torrent files ... about 10).
Any ideas where the error is located or what i could do to fix it?
THX in advance

This error looks like it is caused by a torrent that is named using a character that is not in the English alphabet. These characters are not supported by g3 at the moment so you'll have to find the torrent in your torrent directory and rename it to something else to get rid of this error.
Tell me how it goes.

I kicked some suspicious torrents and everything runs smooth again.
Although it wasn't the name ... could it be some character inside the torrent file as well?
Thx a lot for your help and the very quick response.
G3 rocks again :D

Yep you are right... it can also be caused by a encoded character within a torrent. G3 doesn't currently support encoded torrents (though I'm working on it at the moment)

Actually this is what I would like to see from big companies. Listening to the "customer", answering quick and simple, and working to improve the prduct.
Very great work ... keep it up.
