When doubleclicking on a torrent file (associated with g3torrent, Windows XP SP2) the file doesn't open correctly with g3torrent. The error in the "Messages" tab is:
[General] - Trying to load from file --responsefile
[Error] - Response file --responsefile contains invalid data
Opening directly from Internet Explorer also doesn't work, same error. Adding torrent files manually from within g3torrent works fine. Any suggestions?

Just reinstalled g3torrent, and now it works fine. Weird...
yes, there is a HUGE list of applications that have "issues" with SP2 listed at MS
