OK... did you get any errors in the g3torrent.exe.log file? (It's located in the program files\g3torrent folder). You might have errors similar to this (this is purely a guess):
UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xa5 in position 3: ordinal not in range(128)
This would indicate that the torrent is encoded using utf-8. This is not supported by g3 999a but is supported by bitspirit (hence why I guessed).
I'm currently working new version of g3 that will allow this type of file to be used which will be released in a month or so. In the mean time you could try g3 tweaked v0.3 which has some limited encoding support.
