Finally exited with the following message in the g3torrent.exe.log

    Exception in thread DLThread 102:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
File "threading.pyo", line 436, in __bootstrap
File "threading.pyo", line 416, in run

File "wx\core.pyo", line 9344, in __getattr__
PyDeadObjectError: The C++ part of the Reba object has been deleted, attribute access no longer allowed.

Connection finally came back to life after a few minutes.  I've had to bounce the box at times as the process is locked and can't do a normal shutdown.

    Thanks

Say, are you running ZoneAlarm 5? I was having the exact same problem to a T, and after some searching discovered ZA 5 is causing hangups for many people using broadband and p2p applications. BT was mentioned specifically in some cases, although it seems to cause problems with windows and internet in general. I completely uninstalled v5, went back to v4.5 and everything seems OK. Go figure.

Yeah, I uninstalled Z5 and the major problem went away.  Now G3 doesn't hang, but my internet connection dies after a while for all machines going through the router.  Guess I'll try to scale back the open connections per torrent and see if that helps.

      Thanks
