Hey, I've been noticing that the few people(as a percentage) who are getting the same torrents as me user names are all Camp____. Is this just because?

ps. What are some other names?

and how many of you are using G3 to fake another torrent program?

      Hey sid32,

I think that this might be a bug... as something similar has been reported in the help forum.   So what you are saying is that your name is set to 'campervan' and you are seeing other peers in the peerlist with names that start with 'camp' and end with something else?

I dont do client spoofing (pretending to use another client) because i want to turn more attention towards the G3 client!
So as long as we, the users client-spoof with g3 we cannot on first hand we cannot predict how many users really do run G3 and secondly we cannot Promote this Client to a lager audience! And this is what i would like to happen, because i truely think its the nicest client on a windows platform out there yet.
When i'm alone i mainly see Azureus, Bittornado & Shadow clients. This might not be true because of the spoofing option.. so its kinda hard to predict whats going on...
But i know on a lot of torrent-forum pages g3 is still one of the less mentioned at all. AND THIS HAS TO CHANGE!!!

      SPREAD THE WORD!!!

which goes back to why some site want to ban G3.

and the answer always is because it allows the user to set to none his/her global upload speed. and so it is called a "leecher" client.

i know this is stupid cause anyone could do this with any client if they also got Netlimiter for exemple, but maybe doc could consider joigning back the other clients in puting a minimum speed of upload in G3. i believe other clients use 3 as a bare minimum.

this way, it will "Promote this Client to a lager audience".

i always give at least back what i've downloaded eventhough i am on shitty and screwed ul/dl adsl, and this change wouldn't affect me and shouldn't be a burden to most if you know how to use G3 properly and to tweak it in your advantage, not even mentionning this use, once again, of Netlimiter...

What do y'all have to say about this ? no more hiding and spreading the client ?

      Yes i,

Just a comment on the lack of G3 clients in the peer list, for the first time today i checked the peer lists of two torrents today and i saw 1 client reported as g3 in both. I of course gave both of the uplaod preference. The one was reported as AnonySB, i won't say the torrent or ip for privacy reasons but if anyone see's me on a torrent (my nick is my name) let me know, would be nice to see who else belongs to the same torrent communities.

I could promote G3 in the Anime Community, but it can be a leech client, and those FanSubbing Group do depend on users uploading on a new release of Torrent.

The thing is you can leech with any client, leeching is something that should and can be controlled tracker side, not forcing users to specific clients. I think we have seen on these forums several great reasons why one should be able to control upload:
                 Shared internet connection.
Running services off the same connection
Wanting to use your connection while still downlaoding, games and such.

The fact is a leecher is a person not a program.
