I just wanted to say how much I like G3.
I tried Azureus before, but like many others I experienced serious problems with high CPU and memory usage. None of the suggested solutions (like trying an older version of JRE etc.) worked.
I'm more than satisfied with G3. It offers a lot of useful features, is totally user-friendly and doesn't overwork my computer.
I recommend G3 to everybody!

I agree with Ginchen. And I love this tool too.
My internet connection sux. My ISP deemed it necessary to limit our connections to about 85. So I have no choice to have no more than 1 torrent d/l'ing at a time and have the connection settings in G3 set to 60/35. I have NO choice about this. With other clients you can set this the same way but you have no choice with what it does after that. With G3 (and other clients) it will take the first 60 peers. Now, the first 60 peers may not be the best choice but with other clients... so what.. you get what you get. But with G3 you can look at the peers that are connected and if a peer is just sitting there doing nothing except taking up one of your connections, you can disconnect that peer and allow a new peer connect to you.
As I am typing this message, I have been doing the exact thing I am saying. My d/l speed has gone from about 8k - 45k to 103k. Try that with Azureus!
G3 helps to make up for my crappy internet connection but giving me control of the torrent.

Well i dug deep to find this thread, but i agree and im digging it up again, G3 seems to be slow in the development dept., seems too have copped a lot of slack as a "leech" client, but its by far the best bt client ive tried. i love that u can choose to allow only so many connections, and then limit the number that are only pointless locally initiated connections, they dont seem to provide much in the way of down/up loads and whern u do get traffics its quickly chocked anyways,

G3 is nice but the others have caught up and surpassed it in the past few months.
Azureus allows you to selectively kick/ban usres out of the torrent. You even have a choice of remembering the kick temporarily for the session or longer. So with azureus, you just kick everyone that is not uploading to you. Or you can go to one of the bittorrent hack forums and get patches for it to give it even more leeching power.
BitComet has the ability to defeat superseeding. It disconnects from the superseeder without reporting back and then reconnects again like it was fresh and new. Clever. And of course, go to the bittorrent hacking forums to get patches to give it even more leeching power.
ABC, like azureus and bitcomet, has a lot of user-developed patches to make it better and to add certain features to make it leech better.
