I was wondering how easy, as I didn't see it in the options, and doing some poking around in the source hasn't revealed itself to me either, it would be to sort the list alphabetically. Is this implemented already?

Well, if you are talking about the main list that displays the torrents. The reason I don't allow sorting of that list is because it represents the order of the queue. The queue determines which file is going to get unpaused next.
If you did sort the list you would have to reorder the queue as well - Otherwise the move up move down features won't be accurate anymore and it would be hard to tell which torrent had the priority to get unpaused next.
There are probably alternatives, and you can go ahead and suggest one if you have one. I just personaly don't have any issue with it. So unless you have a really interesting idea I'll probably just leave that alone.
