Hey, man the web  interface is outstanding, hands down my favourite feature of G3, but I just was dicking around with it and found that I can use it to transfer anyfiles from the web to my computer.

Basically I find a files I want on the web, *.mp3, firefox RC2, etc, I just put in the link into the webinterface and its there when I get home..

    Great 'Bug', dont ever fix...

You mean if someone cracked my pass he could plant whatever virii, trojans and ... pun alert! ... germz onto my system? I don't know about you but it sounds like a major security hole to me.

Yea i was thinking about the same thing, but it wouldn't be much more of a hole then if it only allowed for torrent files, someone could easily make their own torrent and after they cracked your password make you download the same virus that way. We should however find out the full extent of what one could do through this before making assumptions.

Yeah, like most things having someone break your password is a security threat, however if you keep it a secret then you should be fine.

I don't think its a major security hole, because of the small amount of people (overall) using G3, its much more likely we see an attack on Az-A-Bloated.

Besides the web interface is a killer feature, as I LOVE being able to add torrents from work or school and have them ready when I get home. Thou I am unsure how much time is spend on developing the web interface. I think next to none since I haven't noticed a change in it in a long time.

ps. It doesn't matter if it only does torrents, as some one can make a torrent of a virus and get you to download it that way. The ablity to move other files in it is too handy to loose.

I've been working on the web interface. So far I've added a remove function along with the start and stop. Also, I added more info so you can see how many peers and seeds each torrent has and how much has been downloaded and uploaded.

I'd like to add more to the interface, such as making the torrent name a link to info from the status panel. Also, a link to change the settings of each torrent. Basically, I want a HTML based torrent interface.

      1. Does remove = delete? That would be handy.
But then if some gets the password they delete a three gig download?

      2. I would love to have a queue option, not just stop/start and of course the abilty to order them.

      Thanks for spending the time,

      Sid
