Occasionally something happens while I'm downloading a torrent which causes one piece to fail the hash check, so it redownloads, fails, redownloads, fails, forever. It's a problem that I can only solve by turning off my router for a few minutes, then turning it back on. Since no one is really uploading a bad piece to me, banning doesn't help.
The other day I was downloading a torrent of 350MB. I went to bed. In the morning I'd downloaded 99.9%, but because of the constant re-downloading of the one "bad" piece, I'd downloaded 1.5GB of data. Totally screwed up my up/down ratio, and kept the next torrent from starting.
I'd like to be able to tell G3 to stop a torrent if the amount of data downloaded exceeds the torrent's total size by x%, or if the same piece is redownloaded more than x times.
thanks,
O
