Hi Lyle,

I vote for whatever is easiest for you.  I'm grateful for all the work
you've put into this stuff, both as a developer and as a tutor.  I don't
know anything about Gem and not all that much about Ruby yet,  but I'm
confident that we users will do just fine with whatever choice you make.
