Three cautions:

Make sure you use the latest FXRuby (1.0.27, at least), rather than 
whatever is in the Ruby Windows installer--Lyle recently fixed a bug 
that affected the tree browser examples.

The examples/tree-fancy.rb needs the rbtree extension to work (it's at RAA).

The DRb-based examples don't seem to work on my windows box at work. 
Maybe 'druby://localhost:9200' doesn't make sense in windows. I'll try 
using a hostname or ip tomorrow...
