I added the readme note. One of the first things I
looked for was a "open-url" menu option. After reading
the notes on flexwiki.com, I discovered that FwSync
provides the connectivity.
1. It's a good idea to point out that FwSync is required,
possibly even have a menu item to shell to it as an
interim step to your proposed "sync" menu option
2. It's not a problem for me to have a local copy of
remote wiki's, but I am trying hard with little success to
promote the use of flexwiki with some associates where
I think an editor like FlexWikiPad would be helpful. The
local copy requirement would be an impediment in this
situation.
3. Therefore if it would be somehow possible to
shoehorn in Omar's web service code from his
unmaintained editor as another access option for
FlexWikiPad, it would be very useful.
4. A possible alternative might be to integrate with
FwSync in a manner that would be transparent. The
local copies would be hidden in a temp directory and
pages transfered either on an as-needed basis or by a
background thread.

I've definitely got this feature in mind for a future
release. My thinknig is that the program would sprout an
"Online" menu, which would contain "Setup", "Preview" and
"Synchronize" menu items. "Setup" would let you pick a URL,
"Preview" would let you see what the page would look like if
you rendered it, and "Synchronize" would move the files
to/from the wiki via the web service.
In order to do this, I'm going to have to bust FwSync out
into an exe and a dll, so I can reuse most of it. This will
also let me keep compatibility so you can use both of them
against the same local store. I think this is important for
automation.
Anyway, this feature is about third on my mental list, after
Find and Replace (out this week, I think) and a complete
redo of the rendering engine (no estimate).
Thanks for your comments!
