I would modify the firewall-initscript so that it passes a parameter. The paramteter would indicate that you need to wait for the tun0 device to be present Then create a prolog script in Fwbuilder that waits until the Tun0 device is ready. But ... openvpn creates a tun0 device, which is not present at bootup. and my fwbuilder script sets some rules for this device as well. And because the establishing the openvpn connection takes a little time, fwbuilder script fails to set the rules, as the tun0 device is not present. This makes the whole firewall-install script to fail, and I end up with firewall not setup. Any ideas how to solve this problem?
