Chris, excellent document. Couple of things: you say the code that loads iptables modules does not work. What exactly happens ? What is the path to the modules directory on OpenWRT? you say using iptables-restore has ussues with dynamic IP addresses (page 12). I actually made significant effort to ensure that it does not. If there are interfaces with dynamic addresses, generated script determines addresses at run time and generates iptables commands dynamically, then feeds them to iptables-restore. I would be interested to know about your experience with this implementation. Also, may I post this document on the web site ? thanks for sharing this --vk On Jan 13, 2006, at 3:15 PM, <stuffa@...> wrote: > People > > > > I have spent a lot of time getting FwBuilder and OpenWrt working > well and have now done this quite a few times. > > So many in fact, that I needed to document the entire OpenWrt build > > > > This is the section of the documentation that is relevant to FwBuilder > > I hope that someone finds it useful > > > > Also. Attached is the Fwbuilder only section of the document I have added the following to update it (1) references to the location of the modules in openWrt. (2) iptables-restore now works well (I have extensivly tested this) (3) current release of openWrt doesn=E2=80=99t have the "time" module, = so you cant use the "time" field in a policy I have also posted the full build document here http://www.martin.cc/OpenWrt_Config_RC4.pdf and I have fixed the dns server, that was preventing external access -----Original Message----- From: fwbuilder-discussion-admin@... = [mailto:fwbuilder-discussion-admin@...] On Behalf Of = Vadim Kurland ?
