Hello, I'm new to fwbuilder and i hope to get help in this list. Today I have = installed fwbuilder 1.07 on RedHat 7.3. Every documentation i have found on the net shows me example services = which sould provided with the source. But on my installation there i = nothing in services, ip, tcp groups etc. Where can I find this examples = like http, smtp, ftp, ....? Regards, J=F6rg Sippel |

I have been trying to install the fwbuilder application (fwbuilder-2.1.9) for several days. I have searched Google high and low for answers to some of the errors that I am getting. I have found some similar issues but have not been unsuccessful. I am trying to install on a 64 bit centos 4.4, however I have also tried on a 32 bit version of the same OS with the exact same error. Is there a way to tell if threads are compiled into the qt installed on my system? [root@penguin fwbuilder-2.1.9]# rpm -qa |grep qt qt-3.3.3-10.RHEL4 qt-devel-3.3.3-10.RHEL4 qt-3.3.3-10.RHEL4 [root@penguin fwbuilder-2.1.9]# I have set this in my environment path: QTDIR=/usr/lib64/qt-3.3 It looks like the libfwbuilder configures and compiles properly: ./autogen.sh --with-openssl-prefix=/usr/bin/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Support for SNMP queries : YES Using ucd_snmp library : NO Using net_snmp library : YES Support for SSL encryption: YES Support for thread-safe resolver and DNS zone transfers: NO Using lwres resolver library: NO Function gethostbyname_r is not available Function gethostbyaddr_r is not available ------------------------------------------------------------------- The compile of the fwbuilder does not like something about my systems.... Search for RPM "libXext" Also try to compile without --with-openssl-prefix=/usr/bin, it may cause problems with option "-R". You should not need to use this unless you have two installations of openssl, one in /usr/local/ and another in /usr/ Besides, /usr/bin/ is likely incorrect path to openssl anyway since 'prefix' is supposed to be a common parent directory for both libraries and binaries.
