Compiling 2.0.10 works fine on a SUSE 9.3 box, however when executin fwbuilder, popups show "*.xml created by future revision of fwbuilder" and then fwbuilder segfaults. Any clues? tedc |

I've got bittorrent working well with fwbuilder. It's set up as a separate rule so I can quickly enable/disable. Using Azureus I can see that it's working properly. It's just a custom TCP rule opening destination ports 6881-6889 with no masks or settings. According to my reading, though, there's supposed to be a UDP port 6881 opened for communication, as I recall. I realized that I hadn't opened that UDP port on my home machine last night, after I started downloading a torrent (I'd configured UDP on my office machine which also works well.) Yet, all worked well. Is this because the UDP talk is considered stateful and is permitted? -- Claude Jones Bluemont, VA, USA |
