As for Linux and *BSD, on these systems remote syslog server is configured in syslog.conf file which is a part of the OS configuration. We could generate this file but then we would have to provide full UI to manage all possible variants and parameters supported by syslogd. Also, what if the OS is running syslogng ? Fwbuilder would have to support its configuration too and essentially become syslog and syslogng GUI. That falls outside the scope of fwbuilder.

We may consider this in the future when and if we decide to cover more aspects of the OS configuration with fwbuilder.
