I "cvs update" on a regular almost daily basis.

No obvious errors are produced. The GUI's still mostly work ok.

This may be the problem. I got nothing from echo $LANG but even setting
it manually with "export LANG=en" didn't help at all. Somehow I still
suspect there's something incompatible with my system.

All menu bar buttons(along titlebar) produce core dump and crash.
However my machine never leaves a core file.

P.S.I did however notice that I have Insure++4.1 installed on my
machine, but I have no idea how to use it. I only mention it because of
your other mails to the lists about it. I suspect I have lots of other
helpful debugging tools also since I installed about 5Gb of SuSE
software.
