Loaded fuse and ntfsmount from site
./config make and make install on both
ntfsmount /dev/hda1 /MSDOS
fuse: device not found, try 'modprobe fuse' first
modprobe: Can't locate module fuse
This all on Redhat 8 Linuz
Added /usr/local/lib to /etc/ld.so.conf and
ran lib configure.
Tried it all again, after reboot, and got same results.
It does not appear that the fuse subdirectory in the
lond pathname exists. Why didn't it create fuse module?

Didn't ./configure complain about missing kernel sources?
You should first install the kernel-headers (or something similarly
named) package, before compiling fuse.
