I hope you are doing well. I am just a novice in this field. I aim at
developing a file system based on FUSE which should be able to mount the
remote filesystem and then I also need to support transfer of files/folders
from there using GRIDFTP protocol. I tried understanding the working of
basic file system examples like passfs and fusexmp. I also went through the
working of GRIDFTP protocol.
The problem is that I am not able to decide how to proceed further. I wish
to seek your help regarding the same and want to know that how may I
integrate both of them. I have been searching for a long time and have

Well to begin, I started writing simple overlay filesystems.
Just try to understand how FUSE works, take a look at other fuse fs's,
and if you are ready, ytry to understand the API of the target (or
server), in your case GRIDFTP.
