I'm developing a filesystem which is based on the fusexmp_fh.c example
because most operations are passed through to the underlying filesystem.
Everything works except when I try to mount my filesystem on top of /etc.
The mount command never finishes and interrupting it leaves the system in
an unstable state.
I found that fusexmp_fh itself exhibits the same behavior. For example,
mount -t fuse -o nonempty ./fusexmp_fh /usr
works fine. However,
mount -t fuse -o nonempty ./fusexmp_fh /etc
has me reaching for the reset button.
Why is this and is there anything I can do about it?
P.S. If it makes any difference, I'm running Debian Etch with a Linux
2.6.16 kernel and FUSE 2.5.3.
