I've noticed a slowdown on my system and used "top" to see what it was. fuse-ext2 was consuming 90+% CPU. This was after ejecting 1 disk running over eSATA that was ext2. I ejected a second internal disk partition and the fuse-ext2 process went away altogether.

I am facing the same problem on Mac OSX 10.6.8. What should I do?
