I've been having a good time with Fuppes. It's the best upnp for linux I've found.
I'm currently using it with my PS3. I'm trying to figure out what I can "just stream" and what I need to transcode (and furthermore, how to successfully do that).
I have an avi file that just shows up as "unsupported data" on the PS3. Running "file" on it reveals:
$ file sample.avi
sample.avi: RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 1280 x 544, 23.98 fps, video: DivX 5, audio: (5 channels, 48000 Hz)
$ file -i sample.avi
Anyone with a PS3 out there know why this wouldn't work? I have other avi/divx5 videos that stream to it just fine. I've verified that this particular file plays just fine in mplayer.
