Running fuppes on FreeNAS, and made a cron-job to update the db every hour.
When fuppes does the update, it takes 100% CPU and is very slow on or not responding to requests from a NAIM Uniti mediaplayer.
Music folder contains about 180G of data on 2x 2TB disks in RAID1.
I already did a filecheck on the array, but that does not seem to help.
I also have deleted the media_db, and let fuppes rebuild, but that too seems not to change things.
How can I debug?? Or is this just normal?
Unfortunately that is the norm. It is one of our todo list items to speed up the entire fuppes database process. From what I have seen, any more that around 7000 items seems to cause problems with the database indexing. This is a priority item and therefore should be fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Well, this nas has about 23000 items to be indexed, so way more then 7000.
Ok, good to know it is on the todo-list. Unfortunately I am not much of a coder, so I cannot help with this.
Thanks for now, anyway.
