In Pidgin, when you double-click a buddy's name to open up an IM window to them, the mouse focus defaults to the input box, so you can just start typing without having to tab to the input box (or click on it). This doesn't work in Funpidgin, from what I can see - focus defaults to the tab at the top of the window; not the input box.
