[FullSync-Users] Fwd: File name encoding problem

Hi,

I like to use full sync to sync a ftp folder but I'm getting a encoding
problem. It's possible to set the encoding on any preferences? For example,
it sync the file name "Acção Sensibilização.pdf" to "Acção
Sensibilização.pdf"...

Why that?

Hi,

are you on windows?

On Windows you can edit the fullsync.ini file (in the FullSync 
installation folder which is by default C:\Program Files 
(x86)\FullSync\FullSync) and add a line next to the main.class line like

vmarg.1=-Dorg.apache.commons.vfs2.provider.ftp.FtpFileSystemConfigBuilder.ENCODING=UTF-8

or

vmarg.1=-Dorg.apache.commons.vfs2.provider.ftp.FtpFileSystemConfigBuilder.ENCODING=Cp1252


I don't know what encoding your FTP-Server expects so you may need to 
try a few from 
https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/technotes/guides/intl/encoding.doc.html
