I have a question: I am trying to sync a folder of a remote W2K server with my PC (eventually to a USB memory drive). Which protocol should I use?

I see it as a "Network Place" with the a similar address: \\177.20.90.1\c$\mainfolder\subfolder\finalfolder\

I would like to sync it to a local folder called C:\finalfolder\

On the botton one, I used the file: protocol. I tried the same on the top one, but to no avail. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

      Try smb://172.26.99.1/path.
Actually "Samba" is the linux synonym to the windows file sharing protocol. You could, of course, mount it to a drive letter and access it using file:///G:/bla as well.
