I just got a new intel MacBook and installed the universal binary. Fugu can't seem to find textwrangler (which I am using an works) or any other text editor.
This is my bug. Further investigation reveals it only breaks when attempting to edit REMOTE files. I can edit local files no problem. The exact message is "Fugu couldn't find TextWrangler to launch <filename>"
My email address is joshk@efn.org

One more note: in the "Files" preferences pane (where text editor is set), none of the desktop applications (e.g. TextWrangler, SubEthaEdit) have icons next to them, though vi and emacs have little terminal windows.

Another update: this is definitely a problem with the universal binary build. Running the PowerPC version under Rosetta works fine.
