This release greatly improves the stability of the ftpcube 0.5.x line. The 0.5.x line brings many features to ftpcube, including updated wxPython support, SFTP integration, and much more.

Ftpcube 0.5.x has moved out of beta with the 0.5.0 release. This line includes major features, such as upgrading to wxPython 2.6.x and greater support and the long awaiting integrated SFTP support.

After a long hiatus and due to popular demand, Ftpcube is back with some new, long-awaited features. The long-awaited modular SFTP support is now included. The SFTP support gains the full benefits of the Ftpcube engine, with multi-threaded downloading, queueing, etc. The underlying transport mechanism is modular; Only when the Paramiko SSH library is installed will SFTP support be enabled. This release fixes several annoying bugs. Icons have now been embedded in .py files, easing the install rpocess. An initial version of translation into dutch and german have been provided. Upgrading is suggested for all.

Fixed some minor bugs, including a bug in the installer. XPM icons have now been antiquated and replaced by a new package containing .py files produced using img2py.

Bug fixes and minor features addeds. Remote and local permission changing functionality has now been added. Permissions are also displayed locally. The wxPyColourChooser module has been integrated with wxPython and this release now uses that version, if it exists.

Much has changed! Ftpcube now runs on the wxPython platform and is now truly cross-platform. Many features have also been added. Please check the changelog and the homepage for details!

This release fixes some minor bugs with recursive downloading and other navigation issues. A GERMAN translation has now been added, so the German folks can now enjoy ftpcube in german. If you'd like to see your language, please contact me about a translation.

The first release of FtpCube, written entirely in Python with GTK bindings, has now been made available. FtpCube already includes a decent size feature set and is definitely useable for basic FTPing needs. Suggestions are welcome!
