I'm not sure anyone is actually doing anything with the driver at this
point. I've seen no real traffic across this list since I joined. Just
questions that are unanswered.

Is anyone actually maintaining the driver anymore?

I noticed that this driver (as unfortunately nearly all
usb-serial-drivers) does not support mark/space parity, although
the chip supports it. And in 2003, someone already posted a patch on
this mailinglist to add this feature.

Is there any reason, why this patch wasn't added?
