[Ftdi-usb-sio-devel] ftdi 232BM bit bang

Hello,
I was always looking for an easy way to design USB devices for
Linux and I am really glad that I found now FT232BM chip and this
linux driver.  Looks very good. 
Has anybody worked with the new bit bang mode of the FT232BM?

There is an application note ( http://www.ftdichip.com/FTApp.htm )
but it says nothing about the actual interface. The application
note just introduces 3 functions and it does not even say how the
can be implemented (in linux).
Do we still need to write bit bang support for linux or is there
something?
