[Ftdi-usb-sio-devel] sample application needed

Hi,
i'm trying to use ftdi drivers i have some questions...
i open the device (/dev/ttyUSB0) at 115200bps and when i receive a =
special character(0xf) is send 64 bytes over the device.
but the delay beetwen receiving character and transfert data is too long =
(16ms).
my question is: how to reduce the transfert time?

may be i have badly initialized the device?
