Fronsetia 1.1 has just been released.
Updated to Jakarta EE 10. Old JavaEE servers with only the "javax" naming are no longer supported.
Code quality fixes and improvements in unit tests.
Other small changes.
According to the ChangeLog file, the very first version, 0.1, of what now is called Fronsetia (and was then called "SOAPServiceTester"), was created on 2011-07-17 .
It wasn't on SourceForge from the beginning (my projects need to have at least a few versions and a foreseeable future to be promoted to SF), but nevertheless July the 17th can be considered Fronsetia's "birthday".
All the created (current and historical) releases of Fronsetia have been uploaded to SF and the project is declared open.
As a result of SF's encouragement to using icons, I've decided to add a project icon.
This time, I didn't choose the Inkscape(tm) program and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) and used KolourPaint and raster graphics instead.
The icon may be "tuned" or even fully changed later, but for now you can enjoy the current looks on the project page on SF and on the Fronsetia's homepage at https://fronsetia.sourceforge.io/ (both in the content and as the site icon). These icons are in the PNG format (another open standard).
Encouraged by SF, I've decided to launch blogs for my software hosted here (which you can see on my profile page).
The blog will be a place where I will announce noteworthy changes to Fronsetia or its website, and new releases.
Remember that the first place that gets notified of a new release is ... the release page on SF (called "Files"), so be sure to watch that one as a first source of information on new releases. The page also has a data feed!
